Arrrg...Pirate Day!

We finished our Ocean Unit with a fun Pirate Day! We all dressed in pirate attire, made treasure maps, and dug for gold and silver.  Our students learned the name of all five oceans and how to use a compass.  They also loved learning all about ocean life and fish that live in the oceans. It was a fun way to end the unit and the class loved pretending to be pirates for a day! ARRRRGGGG!

Mother's Day in the classroom

Mother's Day in our classroom was a huge success. We had a mother's day tea and made cake pops to eat.  The students created a tea towel, scrapbook, and cards for their moms.  They also made a sunshine with a word that describes their mom.  We sang "You are My Sunshine" and gave each mom their sunshine.
The best part of the party was when the students sang the song "Tony Chestnut" and all the moms joined in!
We love our moms!

A Day at the Farm

Our class had a field trip to the FARM today!  One of our students lives right next to the Broken Arrow 4H clubhouse and lives on a farm so it was a perfect spot for a field trip.  We saw pigs, rabbits, chicks, and horses! We had fun on a hay ride and even found a black snake along the way! It was a wonderful learning experience for our students. AND SO MUCH FUN!
