To finish up our Unit of Study on Art, we took our class to Gilcrease. We participated in their mini-masters class where we took a tour of the museum and then we had the opportunity to create our own masterpieces! It was a great field trip and the weather could not have been better!
This Blog is designed to give new and fresh ideas to other preschool and kindergarten teachers. As teachers we know our best ideas come from each other!

Budding Artists in the classroom
Monet and Degas would be proud of the young artists in our classroom! Over the past two weeks we have been studying various art and artists. The students created multi-media projects, finger paint, silhouettes, and stepping stones, just to name a few. We then celebrated their amazing creations by having our very on Art Show! The parents and grandparents had the opportunity to "buy" the children's artwork. It was a great success and not to mention a lot of fun!

The Cat in the Hat is Back!
We do like Green Eggs and Ham in our classroom! We had a fun week celebrating Dr. Seuss in Excel. Each day we celebrated a different Dr. Seuss book by dressing in silly attire. Funny socks for Fox in Sox, our favorite hats for Cat in the Hat, our silly eye wear for I can Read with my Eyes Shut, and of course our favorite color green for Green Eggs and Ham! We also served green eggs and ham to our students and they were a hit. This is always a fun week for our students to show off their reading skills too!
